Konzerthaus Berlin masuk ke dalam lima gedung konser terbaik di dunia

Konzerthaus Berlin yang awalnya bernama Schauspielhaus Berlin adalah sebuah Theater yang dirancang oleh Carl Gotthard Langhans diresmikan 1 Januari 1802. Setelah mengalami kerusakan akibat bom oleh tentara sekutu, pada tahun 1977 gedung ini direnovasi dan dibuka kembali menjadi rumah bagi Berliner Sinfonie-Orchester dan diberi nama Konzertahaus Berlin.




Berdasarkan survey pada tahun (1996, 2004) yang dilakukan oleh Beranek yang melibatkan musisi, konduktor dan pendengar yang berpengalaman Konzerthaus Berlin menempati ranking ke empat dari lima konzerthaus terbaik di dunia dengan urutan sebagai berikut: Vienna Grosser Musikvereinssaal, Boston Symphony Hall, Buenos Aires Teatro Colon, Berlin Konzerthaus , dan Amsterdam Concertgebouw.
